The Grand Rapids Griffins clinched a spot within the Calder Cup Playoffs on Saturday evening when Iowa dropped a 4-2 choice in Springfield.
The Griffins will take part within the postseason for the fifteenth time since becoming a member of the AHL in 2001. They received Calder Cup championships in each 2013 and 2017.
