On Monday, the New Jersey Devils recalled goaltender Nico Daws from the Utica Comets and returned Isaac Poulter to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
Daws was set to take Jake Allen’s spot as Jacob Markstrom’s backup, however Allen was given the all-clear to play as of Monday afternoon. He was listed as day-to-day with an upper-body damage and has not performed since Dec. 8, however he may return to the lineup for Tuesday’s recreation towards the St. Louis Blues.
